💡 1 Valuable Thing Kids Don’t Learn In School

Everyone knows that AI is the next big thing. But nobody’s sure how to prepare their kids for what’s to come. Here are 3 easy things you can do to help your children make the most of AI in the coming years.

1. Let the kids play

The best way to learn any new technology is to play around with it - especially in the early years. And if there’s one thing kids love, it’s playing around with cool new things.

In less than an hour, you can teach your kids how to:

2. Encourage healthy skepticism - but don’t scare them.

With almost every new major technology, we get a panic about the potential dangers of using that technology:

And all of us remember the dawn of the internet and the Y2K panic.

So, while it’s important to take some precautions with AI, teaching kids to fear it is counterproductive.

3. Warn them about using AI to help with their homework.

While businesses are rushing to adopt AI, schools seem to be heading in the opposite direction - at least for now.

Students have been quick to adopt new AI tools and use them to do their assignments. Many kids have shared stories of how AI-generated essays helped them score As and Bs in school.

Unfortunately for these kids, the tide turned pretty quickly. It didn’t take long for schools to adopt AI plagiarism tools.

The same internet forums where kids gloated about getting As with the help of AI are now full of kids who fear getting expelled for getting caught by their schools.
