🐝 This 10-year-old’s business is buzzing

Plus, I can prove that your kid is capable of more than you think.

I’m stoked for today’s newsletter. Why? Because I’m going to introduce you to an incredible kid with an incredible business, then prove that your kid can do it too. ✌️

In today’s issue:

🐝 This kid rocks: A 10-year-old with a buzzy business.

🧠 News you need to know: Your kid is capable of more than you think.

✍️ Ask Ivy: Lay your problems on me, and I’ll do my best to help ya solve ‘em.

THIS KID ROCKS

Eleanor’s in the bee business — and business is buzzing!

Meet the 10-year-old who is absolutely buzzing with innovation 🐝

I brag a lot about Prequel kids (um, did I mention that Grace’s documentary now has over 4 million views 🤯).

Not only are these mini-rockstars building incredible businesses, they’re actively working to improve the world around them.

Take Eleanor for example, a 10-year-old in our Launchpad program.

She wanted to start a business that makes a positive impact in a way that is —and this is very important to hernot boring.

So she’s been using her time in Launchpad to create Hive Hideaway — a lucrative little buzz-ness that has generated hundreds of dollars in revenue in only a few short weeks.

“It’s all about showing people the wonders of bees in a fun way,” says Eleanor.

How?

By encouraging people to adopt a bee, or heck, even a whole hive!

Once Eleanor nailed her idea, she got to work:

👉 Has it all been easy peasy? Nope.

“I’ve made a lot of mistakes,” Eleanor told me. But this kid has a killer growth mindset and works insanely hard.

While most kids reserve Saturday mornings for cartoons and cereal, tomorrow she’ll be manning her own stall at the Kaimu Farmer’s Market to raise local awareness for Hive Hideaway.

Think about that in the morning when you’re hitting snooze for the third time…

Keep stingin’, Eleanor. 👏

NEWS YOU NEED TO KNOW

This event will convince you that your kid is capable of more than you think

When you think about your kid starting a business, what does it look like?

  • A lemonade stand?

  • A craft?

  • Some other cute thingy-ma-jig that people feel obligated to buy because, ya know, a kid made it?

Or does it look like Eleanor — developing a product that people really want, packaging it creatively, and marketing it effectively?

👉 Because that's the kind of business your kid is capable of launching.

So let me prove it to you.

I’ve opened up a handful of spots for kids of our newsletter readers to join our Launchpad Business Kickstarter.

(Launchpad is the artist formerly known as Apollo here at Prequel. We’re shakin’ things up a bit.)

This will be a highly personalized session where your kid will:

👀 Learn how to spot opportunities like a true entrepreneur, focusing on real problems that need real solutions.

🧠 Use incredible AI tools to brainstorm and design a product that stands out.

📈 Walk away with a tangible product idea that they can continue to refine and grow.

Oh, and it’s almost free.

We’re charging $1.99 to make sure the spots are filled with kids who really want to be there — and we’re only accepting 50 kids.

So do you have a 9 to 13-year-old with two bucks and an itch to start a business?

Have them join us on April 27th for the Launchpad Business Kickstarter.
